Abu Dhabi, 12 April 2021 - Khidmah, one of the region’s leading Facilities Management and maintenance companies, has won the industry acclaimed ‘Excellence in Training’ accolade during the Middle East Cleaning, Hygiene and Facilities (MECHF) Awards 2021 ceremony held recently in Dubai. Khidmah was recognized for demonstrating its commitment to continuously elevating employees’ skillsets and knowledge through continuous training and development programs.

With the vision to ensure its employees remain at the forefront of the industry and are always ready for new challenges, the Khidmah Training Centre was launched in 2019 as a specialized training and development facility to deliver soft and hard FM classroom and practical training programs. All trainers at the Centre are BICSc certified and qualified assessors who conduct regular sessions to improve staff’s skillsets and ensure they are up to date on the latest technologies and trends shaping the industry. The Khidmah Training Centre has successfully, trained and upskilled 2,830 new and existing employees and delivered more than 33,100 training hours since its launch.
The Khidmah Training Centre was also able to project its importance during the last year, qualifying technicians on the proper use of disinfection and sanitisation materials and made sure Khidmah teams are armed with the capabilities and capacity to respond quickly and effectively to residents and businesses increased demand for trusted services.
This year, the MECHF Awards saw more than 175 entries from the UAE and the region compete for 21 awards across different categories including the ‘Excellence in Training’ award category.
